Tonight on The UnWoke Show, we dive into the growing national firestorm around sanctuary city policies, sparked by the tragic killing of a student near Loyola University Chicago.
The case centers on 18-year-old Sheridan Gorman, who was fatally shot in Chicago. The suspect, Jose Medina, is alleged to be an undocumented immigrant who had prior arrests and was previously released—something federal officials argue should never have happened.
And just like that, a tragedy turns into political jet fuel.

The DHS shutdown is no longer a political talking point—it’s a real-time stress test on U.S. security infrastructure.
Tonight, Tim and Rich break down what’s actually happening now that the Department of Homeland Security is impacted, starting with visible disruptions at TSA and extending far beyond what the public can see.
From longer airport lines and unpaid federal workers to the hidden risks inside cybersecurity, intelligence coordination, and border operations, this episode goes beyond the headlines to examine the real consequences of operating under pressure.
Coming off a major cyberattack on U.S. healthcare systems, the timing raises a critical question: are we managing national security… or gambling with it?
This isn’t just about one shutdown. It’s about a pattern—and what that pattern reveals about how risk is handled at the highest levels.
Because the real danger isn’t always what breaks immediately.
It’s what quietly gets weaker over time.

In this episode of The UnWoke Show, Tim and Rich break down the growing reality of cyber warfare after a major cyberattack disrupted systems at Stryker Corporation, one of the largest medical device manufacturers in the United States. A hacker group claiming ties to Iran says the attack was retaliation connected to escalating tensions in the Middle East.
But this isn’t just another corporate hack.
The guys explore how modern conflicts are increasingly fought in cyberspace, where governments and proxy hacker groups can strike critical infrastructure without firing a single missile. When a company that supplies hospitals becomes a target, it raises serious questions about the vulnerability of healthcare systems and the broader supply chains that support modern medicine.
Tim and Rich dig into who the hacker group Handala is, how cyber proxy warfare works, and why hospitals and medical suppliers have become prime targets for digital attacks. They also examine how geopolitical conflicts are spilling into the private sector, turning companies and infrastructure into unintended battlegrounds.
The battlefield is changing, and the next war may not begin with explosions — it may begin with a login screen that suddenly stops working.

Spring break used to mean bad decisions and cheap beer. Now it comes with viral fight clips, police bodycam footage, and cities practically begging people to stay away.
Tonight, Tim and Rich break down the explosion of spring break chaos dominating social media feeds. From massive “beach takeover” events organized online to full-blown street fights and bar brawls caught on camera, what looks like random violence might actually be something deeper.
They explore how social media is fueling crowd behavior, turning local gatherings into unregulated flash mobs that spiral out of control. Law enforcement is responding with arrests, curfews, alcohol bans, and even public shaming campaigns using viral footage to deter future chaos.
But the bigger question remains:Is this just kids being kids… or are we watching a cultural shift where attention, clout, and groupthink are driving real-world violence?
Tim and Rich dive into:
The role of social media in amplifying and organizing chaos
Why these incidents are escalating beyond typical party behavior
The breakdown between local communities and visiting crowds
And whether authorities are actually solving the problem… or just reacting to it
Because when every fight becomes content, the line between reality and performance starts to disappear.

Sports are supposed to be the universal language. Ninety minutes, a ball, two nets, and the best team wins.
Except sometimes soccer becomes something else entirely. Sometimes it becomes a political battlefield.
Today we’re talking about the Iranian women’s national soccer team. A team that exists in one of the most restrictive societies for women in the world. A team that has been banned, criticized, celebrated, and used as a symbol by almost everyone except the players themselves.
And the question we’re asking tonight is simple:
Is the Iranian women’s team a sign of progress… or a carefully controlled illusion?
Because depending on who you ask, they represent either female empowerment in a conservative society… or a propaganda tool for a government that limits women’s freedom.
And as usual, the truth is probably sitting somewhere uncomfortable in the middle.

Less than 24 hours after the U.S. and Israel launched Operation Epic Fury against Iran, the heart of Austin’s Sixth Street was shattered. On Sunday, March 1, 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne opened fire at Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden, leaving two dead and 14 wounded.
In this episode, Tim and Rich look past the standard "breaking news" headlines to examine the uncomfortable questions the mainstream media is already avoiding. We break down the facts: Diagne, a naturalized citizen from Senegal, carried out the attack while wearing a "Property of Allah" hoodie and an Iranian flag T-shirt. As the FBI investigates a "potential nexus to terrorism," we ask: Is this the inevitable domestic blowback of a new Middle Eastern conflict?
We dive into:
The Retaliation Narrative: Was the Austin shooting a lone-wolf response to the strikes in Iran, and is the "America First" doctrine being tested on our own soil?
The Vetting Gap: Diagne had been in the U.S. since 2000. We discuss the failure of the "naturalization" promise and what happens when the vetting process ignores long-term radicalization.
Mental Health vs. Ideology: Why does the establishment rush to "mental health" as a shield when the indicators point toward a clear ideological motive?
One Minute to Midnight: How the heroic response by Austin PD saved lives, and why "gun-free zones" continue to be the primary target for those looking to do the most harm.
The world moved on. We’re just here to make sense of the wreckage.

Across Mexico, one uncomfortable question keeps resurfacing: Who really holds power?
In this episode of The UnWoke Show, we examine the growing perception that criminal cartels no longer operate outside the system but alongside it. From cartel-controlled territories and political intimidation to economic influence and public fear, the lines between government authority and organized crime appear increasingly blurred.
We break down how decades of the drug war reshaped Mexico’s institutions, why some regions function under unofficial cartel governance, and how corruption, violence, and survival politics have created a reality where enforcement and coexistence sometimes replace confrontation.
Is this strategic restraint meant to reduce violence, or evidence that the state can no longer fully challenge cartel power?
This episode explores:
How cartels evolved from traffickers into parallel power structures
The political and economic pressures shaping Mexico’s security strategy
Why public trust erodes when governments appear reactive instead of authoritative
The ripple effects for immigration, trade, and U.S. national security
What happens when citizens lose clarity about who truly governs
Rather than headlines or ideology, The UnWoke Show looks at the deeper question facing modern societies everywhere:
When institutions struggle to enforce order, who fills the vacuum?
A conversation about sovereignty, fear, power, and the consequences of governance in the shadows.

Trust in America’s biggest institutions has cracked: government, media, universities, even “experts.” But when institutional authority fades, society doesn’t become leaderless. It just finds new leaders. In this episode, we map the power shift: podcasts replacing broadcasts, creators replacing gatekeepers, communities replacing organizations, and long-form conversation returning because soundbites can’t explain reality anymore. Then we hit the risk: when authority decentralizes, truth fragments. So what keeps society coherent when no one agrees who to trust?

The Olympic Games have long been hailed as a sanctuary of pure athletic competition, supposedly transcending the messy world of global politics. But in a modern era of hyper-activism, that boundary is blurring. In this episode of The UnWoke Show, we tackle the controversial intersection of the podium and the political platform.
Should an athlete's peak moment be used to broadcast a personal or political message? Or does "taking a knee" or raising a fist on the world stage undermine the very patriotism and unity the Games are meant to represent?
In this episode, we discuss:
The Neutrality Myth: Is it even possible to keep "politics out of sports" in 2026?
Patriotism vs. Platform: The shifting definition of representing your country and whether athletes owe it to their flag to remain silent.
The Rule 50 Debate: Analyzing the IOC’s restrictions on protests and whether they protect the games or suppress free speech.
The Fan Perspective: How political displays are impacting viewership and the cultural legacy of the Olympics.
Join us as we break down whether the Olympic stage should remain a field of dreams or if it has permanently become a battlefield for competing ideologies.

A controversial sentencing decision sparked nationwide outrage and wildly different interpretations across media and social platforms. Some saw ideology driving justice. Others saw routine judicial discretion distorted for clicks.
In this episode, we step back from the outrage and examine the deeper issue: the collapse of shared reality.
We break down what actually happened, how the story was framed by different outlets, and why emotional narratives now matter more than facts. More importantly, we explore the long-term consequences of a society that no longer agrees on what is true.
This episode isn’t about picking a side. It’s about understanding how narratives shape belief and why trust collapses when reality fractures.
What We Cover
What the sentencing decision actually involved
How the same event became multiple “truths”
Why algorithms reward outrage over accuracy
How motive is assumed even when facts are unclear
Why trust in the justice system is eroding
The danger of living in parallel realities
Key Takeaway
A justice system doesn’t fail when it makes mistakes. It fails when no one agrees on what happened.
Why This Matters
When shared reality disappears, discussion becomes impossible, trust evaporates, and institutions lose legitimacy. This episode explains how we got here and why it affects everyone, regardless of politics.
